Network Support Technician (W2, Hybrid role) – Strong Meraki Experience Required
Join Kellton Tech as a Network Support Technician. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, with onsite work Monday and Wednesday every other week. This six‑month contract has the potential to convert to full‑time.
Job DetailsLocation: Charlotte, NC (Onsite Monday and Wednesday every other week)
Duration: 6 months contract (potential to convert)
Shift: 11 am – 8 pm
- Assist with remote network setups, configurations, and ongoing support.
- Ensure compliance with PCI standards for retail operations.
- Partner with Cyber Security, Technology Delivery, Internet Service Providers, POS vendors, and business stakeholders to support network initiatives.
- Deliver customer support with proactive communication, documentation, and efficient escalation.
- Utilize Meraki full‑stack solutions (security appliances, switches, access points, cellular gateways) for cloud‑managed networking.
- Take full ownership of cases, demonstrating a self‑motivated mindset focused on career growth and technical development.
- Provide support via phone, chat, portal, and remote tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WAN/LAN/ISP connectivity issues, Wi‑Fi, local firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Validate PCI‑compliant network designs in enterprise and retail environments.
- Assist with design, review, and troubleshooting of network security configurations.
- Install and maintain business‑class internet services with internal teams and vendors.
- Collaborate with security and operational teams to ensure policy compliance and audit remediation.
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours operational coverage.
- 5+ years experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in large, distributed LAN/WAN environments.
- 5+ years networking experience with TCP/IP, DNS, OSI, and related technologies.
- CCNA certification required (or equivalent proven experience).
- Strong knowledge of PCI DSS standards and retail network connectivity requirements.
- Expertise in VPN technologies, internet connectivity options, and remote support tools.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco Meraki full‑stack cloud‑managed solutions strongly preferred.
- Experience with ticket management systems such as Zendesk.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with users, vendors, and engineering staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
