Senior Business Systems Analyst

University of Colorado System Administration invites a seasoned analyst to support the HCM Core application. Candidates will provide functional design, testing, and troubleshooting for People Soft HCM modules while collaborating with campus users and application managers.

• Provide production support for HCM Core modules and related integrations.
• Write functional design documents, test plans, and execution scripts for customizations.
• Gather and analyze business requirements with users and application managers.
• Maintain functional documentation and track customizations throughout the release cycle.
• Execute regression, smoke, and integration testing for PUM/Selective Adoption and People Tools upgrades.
• Lead customer service for campus SMEs and provide coverage in the absence of the application manager.
• Analyze Core HCM release notes, assess impact, and communicate release information to the core community.
• Assist with vendor management of the HCM Core module and support planned and unplanned maintenance windows.
• Expand technical expertise through training, seminars, and end‑user groups.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for the Business Systems Analysts in the Core HCM Systems Team.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (professional experience may substitute one year for one year).
• 4+ years of SQL experience using TOAD or SQL Developer;
  People Soft Query usage.
• 4+ years of testing experience for software customizations.
• 2+ years of experience with People Soft HCM 9.2 and People Soft application.
• 2+ years of experience in People Soft upgrades and PUM/Selective adoption cycles.
• 2+ years of SDLC knowledge and 2+ years of software testing methodology knowledge.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Programming, or related area.
• Experience with People Tools Testing Framework (PTF) and UFT testing automation.
• Functional knowledge of HCM People Soft Core configuration, tables, and development.
• People Tools version 8.61+ experience and awareness of workflow engine, templates, and related content.
• Knowledge of higher education business processes.
