Product Designer; UX

A1 is a self-funded AI group, operating in full stealth. We’re building a new global consumer AI application focused on an important but under explored use case.

As a Product Designer at A1, you will shape how users experience AI - turning complex technology into intuitive, human-centered products. This is an early, high-ownership role where your design decisions will influence core user flows, interaction models, and product direction from day one.

You won’t just design screens. You’ll design systems and journeys: how users discover value, interact with intelligence, and build trust in an AI-driven product. Working closely with product, engineering, and AI teams, you’ll help bring frontier technology to life through thoughtful, usable design.

• You will design the core user experiences of A1’s first AI products - shaping how people interact with intelligent systems in ways that feel intuitive, trustworthy, and genuinely useful.

• This is not a redesign or iteration role. You are helping define entirely new interaction paradigms for AI-driven products, translating complex capabilities into simple, human-centered experiences.

• Your work will directly influence how our products are understood, adopted, and loved by users around the world.

• Lead end-to-end design for one or more AI product surfaces, from early concept to production

• Design key user flows that make advanced AI capabilities feel simple, natural, and usable

• Partner closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to explore problems, test ideas, and ship fast

• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile

• Rapidly prototype and iterate on new interaction models, especially for AI-driven experiences

• Conduct usability testing and synthesize insights to refine product direction

• Help define and evolve A1’s design system to support speed, consistency, and scalability

• Advocate relentlessly for the user while balancing product velocity and technical constraints

• Enjoy designing in ambiguous, zero-to-one problem spaces

• Are excited by AI products and curious about how humans interact with intelligent systems

• Can simplify complex workflows into clear, elegant user experiences

• Move fast, test early, and iterate without over-polishing

• Take strong ownership - from problem definition to shipped solution

• Are comfortable collaborating with highly technical teammates

• 3+ years of experience as a product/UX designer, with a portfolio spanning web and mobile products

• Strong proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping tools

• Solid understanding of interaction design, layout, hierarchy, and visual systems

• Experience working closely with engineers and product managers in fast-moving teams

• Comfort designing from incomplete inputs and evolving requirements

• Experience designing AI-powered or data-heavy products

• Familiarity with usability testing and qualitative research methods

• Experience working in early-stage products or startup environments

• Interest in emerging UX patterns for AI, automation, or intelligent systems
