Whitehall Resources are looking for an Oracle DB Technical Architect - SC Cleared. This role is hybrid working with 2 days per week onsite in London, and the remainder remote working, for an initial 6 month contract.

This role requires candidates who already hold active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards.

• Design implement and manage Exadata Cloud Service ExaCS database solutions
• Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals
• Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi cloud database environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
• Ensure high availability, scalability and performance of database systems
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.

• Hands on experience with migrating large database to Exadata ExaCS / ExaCC platform.
• Experience with migrating database to ATP/ADW.
• Design database consolidation and reduce OPEX spending.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and security assessments.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and cloud offerings.
• Implement and manage Exadata X9 hardware including persistent memory (PMem) and RDMA algorithms to optimize performance and reduce latency.
• Deploy and manage Exadata X1110M98 hardware leveraging its scale‑out high‑performance database servers and intelligent storage servers.
• Extensive knowledge and troubleshooting experience in RAC, RAT, ASM, Exadata performance tuning, Data Guard (Physical and Logical), DG Broker.
• Experience in database security TDE, Audit Vault, OKV etc.
• Experience in OS administration (Linux, Solaris), virtualization, storage (ZFS, ZDLRA).
