Sr VMware vSphere / vSAN Consultant
Clear Bridge Technology Group is hiring a Senior VMware vSphere / vSAN Consultant for a 3‑month contract located in Hartford, CT. The role will involve 50% onsite (alternating weeks) and 50% remote work, supporting vSAN architecture and deployment in a complex vSphere environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in operationalizing the environment after the basic racking and cabling of the new Power Edge R760 servers is completed by the customer.
- Develop and/or validate a VMware vSphere design with the Power Edge server platform.
- Facilitate design discussions around VMware vSAN architecture and intended use.
- Review prerequisites and core services (vCenter, DHCP, NTP, etc.).
- Configure network for vSAN.
- Create clusters and define storage policies.
- Set up lifecycle management.
- Integrate monitoring (if applicable).
- Develop documentation and conduct knowledge transfer for vSAN, vCenter, and ESXi.
- U.S. Citizen with ability to pass an in‑depth background check.
- Availability to work onsite in Hartford, CT every other week.
- Experience with VMware vSphere/vSAN architecture and deployment.
- Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation.
- Experience configuring and validating vSAN networking.
- Designing and governing storage policies in vSAN.
- Strong documentation and knowledge‑transfer skills.
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
