Job SummaryWe are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to be the strategic anchor for a functional team, translating ambiguous business challenges into powerful, end‑to‑end machine learning solutions and taking ownership of the data science lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Drive Full‑Cycle Solutions: spearhead high‑impact modeling projects from initial question to deployed solution, framing the problem, designing experiments, selecting evaluation criteria that connect to business value.
- Engineer the MLOps Backbone: build and own automated systems for model retraining, monitoring, and alerting; implement robust pipelines and CI/CD processes that ensure service stability.
- Elevate the Team: mentor junior data scientists, lead knowledge‑sharing sessions, and champion best practices to raise team standards.
- Influence Business Strategy: translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non‑technical audiences, providing recommendations that directly shape functional priorities.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience, and 10‑12 years of data science work.
- Production‑grade proficiency in Python and SQL; mastery of multiple data science libraries and clean, scalable, well‑tested code.
- Proven track record of designing robust experimental frameworks and validation strategies.
- Business acumen – ability to turn vague challenges into well‑defined projects with clear success metrics.
- Mentorship mindset – natural teacher and collaborator who elevates others.
- Advanced credentials such as a PhD in a quantitative discipline or an actuarial designation (or progress toward one).
- Open‑source contributions – demonstrated track record of contributing to or maintaining widely used analytical libraries.
$250,000 to $400,000, depending on skills, experience, and internal salary structure. Our goal is a competitive and equitable compensation package.
