AboutThe Role
We are seeking a Sr. Business Systems Analyst to support a project for one of our federal clients. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst leads enterprise‑level analysis efforts to strengthen workforce productivity and collaboration ecosystem, including SharePoint and related platforms. Serving as a strategic liaison among senior stakeholders, this role uncovers organizational needs, translates complex and often indirect business requirements into actionable specifications, and guides the development of practical, high‑value solutions.
The analyst drives high‑profile initiatives delegated by senior leadership, ensuring alignment between organizational goals, technical capabilities, and user needs. In addition to shaping solution strategy, the Sr. Business Systems Analyst may mentor or supervise other analysts and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure the successful execution and adoption of enterprise collaboration technologies.
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States. This position is contingent upon contract award and is for a temporary assignment of three months (January - March 2026).
Responsibilities- Conduct analysis with project stakeholders, plan the execution of business analysis tasks and communication, and update or change the approach to business analysis as required; assess effectiveness of and continually improve business analysis practices.
- Identify and define business needs and opportunities for improvement, develop the business case, understand organizational culture and structure, determine solution approach, and define the solution scope.
- Develop advanced business analysis within a significant segment of the organization where the advice given and decisions made will have a measurable impact on the effectiveness of the organization.
- Determine requirements using workshops, interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, task and workflow analysis, prototyping, focus groups, and use cases.
- Establish the contribution that technology can make to business objectives, define strategies, validate and justify business needs, conduct feasibility studies, produce high‑level and detailed business models, prepare business cases, oversee development and implementation of solutions, and take into account the implications of change on the organization and all stakeholders.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, segment high‑level information into details, and abstract up from low‑level information to a general understanding.
- Progressively elaborate the stated requirements to sufficient level of detail that accurately defines the business need within the specified solution scope. Validate that requirements meet the business need and verify that requirements from other business analysts are of acceptable quality and maintainability.
- Document business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc., ensuring that these deliverables can be used to design a solution to the stated business problem.
- Assess solutions to ensure that strategic goals are met and requirements are satisfied, including assessment of internal designs, test cases, test plans, and manual procedures.
