Overview:

SOSi is seeking a Section 508 Trusted Tester to join our team on site in Ft. Belvoir, VA providing application development support for our government customer.

• Assist the government with continual testing through multiple audits of all ICT items.
• Work with stakeholders to assess compliance of ICT and provide remediation guidance and assistance.
• Support ICT testing in support of the customer's 508 Program.
• Work with the Training Curriculum Developer to develop and conduct training on a variety of digital accessibility topics to include: making electronic documents accessible, how to remediate electronic documents, how to ensure websites are accessible, etc.
• Support IT governance by integration Section 508 into the development and acquisition lifecycle.
• Promote the successful adoption of the changes required to integrate test, technique and protocols within an agency.
• In-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance or Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 4 years of specialized experience as a Section 508 compliance tester.
• Trusted Tester Certification is required.
• Experience with the Section 508 GSA / DHS Trusted Tester Conformance Test Process and Accessibility Compliance Reporting Tool.
• Experience evaluating all forms of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), to include websites, electronic documents, software, applications etc., for Section 508 compliance.
• Be an excellent communicator and well-versed in explaining and implementing accessibility and disability standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to promote a common understanding of the 508 standards.
• Ability to unify the test process, test tools, and test reporting.
• Working conditions as normal for an office environment.
• On government site within Ft. Belvoir, VA.
