IT Technician

Location: Lincoln (Office-Based)

Are you a proactive and customer-focused IT professional looking to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team?

We’re looking for anIT Technician to join our internal IT function, providing vital 1st and 2nd line support across our network of offices. Based in our Lincoln office, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our colleagues across the firm have the technology support they need to deliver great service to clients.

Main responsibilities, tasks and duties:
  • Providing 1st and 2nd-line support to end users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Escalating to and working with senior members of the IT team to resolve more complex issues.
  • Supporting a variety of software packages and operating systems
  • Basic understanding and troubleshooting of TCP/IP and general networking principles.
  • Provide first class support services to users in-person, over the phone and through email.
  • Conducting stock checks regularly to ensure an adequate supply of hardware is available at all office locations
  • Ability to rapidly learn about new systems
  • Visits to various offices
Skills required:
  • Experience of Office 365 administration
  • Good knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating system (10 - 11)
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server Operating system (2016 and onwards)
  • Experience supporting hardware – Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Mobiles
  • Possess a full UK driving licence, occasional travel required
Desirable

Skills:
  • Experience using Asset Management / Helpdesk software (Lansweeper)
  • Experience working for a Professional Services environment
  • Experience supporting the major Accountancy Software packages
  • Experience supporting cloud phone system
  • Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Prior experience of end user IT support

This role is office based, with options to work from home 1 day a week after your probation period. There will be occasional travel to our 30+ offices around the UK. Our hours are 8.30am - 5.15pm
