This is a great opportunity for an SSRS Developer to build and deliver reporting solutions across Trade, Portfolio, and Client Data for a Global Independent Investment Management Firm

This SSRS Developer position is 100% remote offering between R960K – R1M

THE COMPANY

A Global Independent INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Company headquartered in London, with offices in South Africa. They provide a range of investment services to private clients, financial intermediaries, and institutions globally; and engineer Financial Trading Applications for the market – the tech team you will join are experts in designing and developing global Fin Tech products.

THE ROLE

As the SSRS Developer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business-critical reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). You will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, write complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data, and design visually effective reports that are accurate, insightful, and aligned with business objectives.

You’ll take ownership of the full report development lifecycle—from requirement gathering and data extraction to report design, testing, and deployment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop SSRS reports, incorporating tables, charts, graphs, KPIs, parameters, and expressions to present data clearly and effectively.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources to support reporting needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating report outputs and troubleshooting discrepancies in data or logic.
  • Deploy reports to production environments, manage versioning, and ensure seamless access across business units.
  • Continuously monitor and improve report performance, adjusting queries or report components to reduce load times and improve usability.
  • Maintain and update existing reports as business requirements evolve or data sources change.

    • THE REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics

    5 years’ experience as an SSRS Developer

    Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining SSRS reports using parameters, expressions, and custom formatting

    Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, with strong knowledge of T-SQL and relational database concepts

    Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical reporting solutions
