The Role

As a Senior Data Scientist on Bitcoin, you will use data to accelerate our mission of making bitcoin everyday money across Cash App and Square. You ll work on critical initiatives such as stablecoin infrastructure, Lightning Network adoption, and Bitcoin payment rails innovation.

This role requires a proactive mindset and strong product intuition. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to define strategy, measure impact, and unlock insights that drive product development. You ll bring technical depth across analytics, experimentation, and data engineering. Experience in consumer products and familiarity with bitcoin/stablecoin/crypto technologies is highly preferred.

You Will

• Work from anywhere:
This role can be performed from any location in the US with the flexibility to work from home

• Shape product strategy for bitcoin adoption through experimentation, modeling, and analytics, from user acquisition to transaction monitoring.

• Design and analyze experiments that unlock growth in bitcoin usage, measuring everything from onboarding conversion to payment rail adoption.

• Build data foundations and self-service tools that enable product teams to move faster, from core metrics dashboards to experimentation frameworks.

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to translate complex bitcoin/crypto user behaviors into actionable insights and product decisions.

You Have

• 8+ years of data science experience, with a track record of driving product and business impact in consumer-facing products.

• Strong experimentation skills: you ve designed, executed, and analyzed A/B tests and are comfortable with causal inference techniques.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.

• Solid data engineering fundamentals: you can build pipelines, transform data, and create reliable data products.

• Demonstrated use of LLMs and AI tools to accelerate your work.

• Bonus:

Experience with bitcoin, crypto products, or blockchain analytics; familiarity with Lightning Network, stable coins, or payment systems.
