Overview
Preferred Primary Care Physicians is currently recruiting for a full-time Help Desk Specialist to join the IT Department at our Central Administrative Office located in Southpointe, PA. The ideal candidate will have some prior experience working in a help desk environment. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm on site with some work from home flexibility after a successful 90-day training period.
- Configuration and deployment of PCs to meet company standard
- Desktop support including Microsoft Office, various Microsoft operating systems and other software applications
- Support of multi-location networks and wireless access points
- Onsite and remote support of company employees
- Virus/malware removal
- Hardware diagnosis, repairs and upgrades
This position performs clerical tasks and answers phones.
Education- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum one year experience in a help desk environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent preferred
- Requires a full range of body motions including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift equipment weighing 50 pounds.
- Able to deal with stress associated with a fast-paced work environment. Able to handle multiple priorities/tasks.
