ABOUT THE ROLE As a Technical Support Specialist, you will act as a key technical interface between customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. Based in Singapore, this role supports a growing regional customer base by delivering pre- and post-sales technical support, product training, and solution consultation.
You will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, resolve product issues, and ensure successful adoption of smart intercom and security solutions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and working with smart hardware technologies in a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Gather, analyse, and manage customer technical requirements, translating them into practical product or solution recommendations
- Support the sales team with technical consultation and solution presentations to help secure customer orders
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical training to customers, enabling faster product adoption and effective usage
- Diagnose and resolve day-to-day technical issues related to Akuvox products, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Provide ongoing technical support throughout the customer lifecycle, including post-deployment troubleshooting
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term retention and future business expansion
- Collaborate with internal teams to feedback customer insights and product improvement opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Experience in technical support within smart hardware, security systems, smart home, or communication equipment industries
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to support regional customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure
- Customer-centric mindset with excellent communication, coordination, and execution capabilities
- Experience with security or access control products such as smart intercoms, IPC, or access management systems
- Hands-on experience delivering product presentations or customer technical training
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g. Network Engineering, Hardware Maintenance, or related fields)
- Proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages such as Malay or Thai
