Lead Purview Architect - remote

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Purview Architect - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing the enterprise metadata and integration architecture for a newly adopted platform within the financial services sector. Your expertise will ensure that data platforms integrate seamlessly with this platform, while establishing critical onboarding patterns.

Additionally, you will play a foundational role in the successful implementation of metadata, lineage, and governance concepts across domains, without being involved in day-to-day platform administration.

• Design enterprise integration patterns for ingesting metadata, lineage, and classifications into Purview.
• Define onboarding architectures for Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, and on-prem platforms.
• Define how Purview integrates with data engineering pipelines and platform services.
• Establish standards for metadata onboarding, lineage expectations, and asset certification.
• Design glossary, classification, and taxonomy structures in collaboration with governance.
• Map legacy metadata concepts and workflows into Purview's capabilities.
• Guide sequencing and rollout strategy across domains.

• 8–12+ years of experience in data architecture, metadata platforms, or data governance architecture.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft Purview architecture and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Experience designing metadata, lineage, and governance architectures at scale.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into technical designs.
