ArcSight SIEM Engineer; DV Security Clearance

Role Overview

In this role, you will be instrumental in modernising and maintaining key defence platforms, ensuring data collection and analysis systems are secure, efficient, and future‑ready. Working within a collaborative client‑site environment, you will develop, configure, and optimise Arc Sight SIEM toolsets, ensuring the seamless integration of new capabilities to support national security operations. You will also automate release and deployment processes to improve quality and delivery speed, while maintaining rigorous standards for documentation and compliance.

• Modernise data collection, processing, and storage systems using tools such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and Zookeeper.
• Streamline and automate release processes with Ansible and Azure Dev Ops for greater reliability and quality.
• Support, configure, and troubleshoot Arc Sight SIEM components, including filters, Smart Connectors, and ESM.
• Liaise with internal teams to translate security requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed technical and support documentation for ongoing system improvements.

• Proven experience with Arc Sight SIEM configuration, support, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of RHEL and Windows environments.
• Experience automating releases via Ansible and Azure Dev Ops.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of data engineering (SQL or Big Data).
• Experience with scripting (Power Shell, Bash) is advantageous.
• Active HLC/DV clearance required.

This is a full‑time onsite position in Basingstoke (no hybrid/remote working). Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance.
