Strategic opportunity for a seasoned Business/Data Analyst with expertise in capital markets and wealth management. Leverage cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, contribute to data integration and warehousing projects, and engage with leading trading systems.
What is in it for you:

• Salaried: $65-75 per hour.

• Incorporated Business Rate: $75-85 per hour.

• 10-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.

• Full-time position: hours per week.

• In-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday.

• Remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities:
• Leads sessions with the business to gather requirements and get sign-off.

• Produces and maintains Business Requirement Document (BRD), source to target mappings (STM), and other documentation.

• Ensures the data asset delivered by the project team meets business requirements.

• Liaises with stakeholders and various technical teams to ensure alignment.

• Performs data analysis, profiling, and metadata collection.

• Leads user acceptance testing (UAT) activities with business users and obtains sign-off.

• Reports to the Lead Data Analyst within the GWAM Data Office/Engineering team.

• Collaborates across teams to ensure solutions align with the organization’s data strategy and deliver business value.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• 7+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst, preferably in capital markets, finance, or wealth management.
• +3 years of experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience with master data management, data integration, and building or enhancing data warehouses or data lakes in Big Data environments.

• Familiarity with data models and data warehouses, with the ability to contribute to data modeling.

• Experience with data ingestion and end-to-end curation for requirement gathering.

• Proficiency in SQL and data profiling to analyze and validate data.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver data documentation artifacts within project timelines.

• Experience with major trading platforms and performance management systems including Bloomberg Polar Lake, Sim Corp Dimension, Findur, Apex, Eagle, Charles River, Sylvan, and Calypso.

• Working experience with GenAI is considered an asset.
