We are looking for a Senior Manager, Privacy, Compliance & Data Governance to join our Legal Team on a full-time,
contractual basis
. This position will be a 12-month contract
, based out of our Head Office in Liberty Village and offers candidates a hybrid work schedule of 2-days a week in-office, and 3-days a week work-from-home.
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
Assist with developing, designing, and implementing Privacy, compliance and data governance frameworks globallyCollaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to drive, track, and resolve compliance readiness and proceduresPerform impact and risk assessments in accordance with industry recognized standardsServe as Subject Matter Expert on privacy and data protection legislation such as GDPR, PIPEDA, etc.Participating in the vendor management process and perform analysis of current vendors by using tools such as questionnaires to ensure complianceTogether with the Privacy Officer and key stakeholders, lead incident management protocols related to privacy and dataAssist in the creation and maintenance of Information, Privacy, and data security policies, standards, and guidelinesInterface with internal and external parties to facilitate auditsManage privacy cases (inquiries by different stakeholders, customers and vendors, complaints and incidents) and make use of mitigating measuresRespond in a timely and prompt manner when made aware of privacy breaches and Implement and maintain compliance processes and tools on a regular basisSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
IAPP Certification(s) such ass CIPP, CDPSE, CIPM s or other related certificationsExcellent expert knowledge and understanding of privacy principles, frameworks and legislations on privacy such as, Fair Information Principles, PIPEDA, GDPR and CASLExperience working with privacy and developing data frameworks preferable in the retail, consumer product or beauty sector an assetExperience with Vendor, Incident, and Risk management processesExperience with building Privacy and data management programsExperience with audit compliance activitiesWHAT YOU’LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAM
