Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Senior UX Manager to lead experience design for Transportation workflows across Civil 3D, Revit, Forma, and ReCap. This role is responsible for defining and delivering cohesive, high-impact user experiences that support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure, such as roadway and rail corridors, stations, interchanges, and surrounding site context. You will lead and grow a globally distributed team of designers at varying stages of their careers while partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Platform teams.
You will be accountable for experience quality across critical workflows, with a strong emphasis on interoperability, workflow continuity, and AI-assisted decision making. This role operates with significant autonomy and influences strategy across multiple product teams, including Revit and Forma.
As a senior design leader, you will balance systems-level thinking with execution, ensuring that user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities are aligned. You will help shape Autodesk’s key strategic initiative by improving how engineers move across tools, data, and decisions.

Responsibilities- Lead and grow a team of UX designers supporting transportation workflows
- Define experience vision aligned to AIR (AutoCAD, Infrastructure, ReCap) strategy
- Drive end-to-end design for complex, cross-product user journeys
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to influence roadmaps and delivery plans
- Establish experience principles, patterns, and standards that scale across teams
- Guide the integration of AI capabilities into user workflows in a clear and responsible way
- Use research, data, and design judgment to inform decisions and measure impact
- Advocate for usability, coherence, and quality across products and platforms
- 8+ years of experience in UX, product design, or experience design
- 4+ years of experience managing and developing design teams
- Proven experience delivering complex products in collaboration with Product and Engineering
- Demonstrated impact on large-scale, cross-product or platform initiatives
- Strong systems thinking and ability to operate across multiple teams and domains
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience designing for technical users
- Familiarity with CAD, AEC, or infrastructure design workflows
- Experience working on platform, data, or interoperability-focused products
- Experience designing AI-enabled workflows and automations
- Experience leading globally distributed teams
