Position: Senior Data Engineer - Building Enterprise Snowflake Platform on AWS (Data & AI Transformation) - Remote
Duration: 6 Months to start (high possibility of extension)

Remote (EST Hours Preferred)
Our client is building a modern enterprise data platform and is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help design, build, and mature a Snowflake-based data platform hosted on AWS.
This role will focus on establishing the core data engineering and infrastructure foundation in a green environment, enabling reliable data ingestion, transformation, observability, and scalability to support downstream analytics and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build a modern enterprise data platform using Snowflake on AWSDevelop and maintain data ingestion (API, Batch, Streaming and CDC) and transformation pipelines using DBTBuild and maintain canonical data models with focus on optimization of data structures based on consumption patternsImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TerraformBuild and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows using Git LabWork closely with cloud and platform teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructureIntegrate data from SAP S/4 RISE on AWS into the enterprise data platformEstablish data quality and observability practices (Monte Carlo is a strong plus)Support the migration from a legacy Azure-based environment to AWSContribute to architectural decisions as the data platform continues to evolveMust Have:
Senior-level Data Engineering experienceDeep, hands-on expertise with SnowflakeExperience building data ingestion frameworks (API, Batch, Streaming and CDC)Experience with AI assisted programing or vibe coding tools to accelerate development cyclesExpert in data modelling and SQL queries performance tuningStrong experience building data pipelines using DBTStrong AWS experience, including services such as:S3LambdaRedshiftDynamoDB- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
- Strong Dev Ops mindset with experience in CI/CD and automated deployments
- Experience working in early-stage or greenfield data environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote setting
