D365 Business Central Senior Developer (AI & Copilot) £60,000 £ 80,000 | Hybrid | UK We Are Dcoded are a specialist technology recruitment partner working with a growing Microsoft consultancy that is scaling its Dynamics 365 Business Central and AI capability . They are now looking to hire an experienced D365 Business Central Developer with strong AI, Copilot and Agent experience to play a key role in delivering next-generation ERP solutions.

This role is ideal for a technically strong BC Developer who enjoys solving complex problems, building intelligent extensions, and embedding AI-driven automation into real-world Business Central environments. The Opportunity Youll work closely with functional consultants, architects and clients to design, build and extend D365 Business Central SaaS solutions , with a particular focus on AI enablement, Copilot integration and intelligent agents .

The role is hybrid, with remote working as standard and occasional office or client-site visits when required. All equipment is provided. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain custom Business Central extensions using AL Build and enhance bespoke integrations, APIs and automation across Business Central and external systems Develop and support AI-powered solutions , including Copilot extensions, Agents and intelligent workflows Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs Support and optimise data migration processes and system upgrades Troubleshoot, debug and resolve complex technical issues across environments Contribute to solution architecture decisions, performance optimisation and best practice Ensure all development aligns with SaaS, security and Microsoft standards Support post-go-live optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives Stay current with D365 Business Central releases, AI developments and Microsoft roadmap updates Technical Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience as a Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Expert knowledge of AL development , extensions, and event-based architecture Experience working with D365 AI, Copilot, Agents or Azure OpenAI (essential) Strong understanding of Business Central SaaS constraints and best practices Experience integrating Business Central with Power Platform, Azure services, Dataverse or external APIs Familiarity with Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines and source control Solid understanding of core ERP domains such as finance, supply chain and operations Experience & Profile Typically 4 years experience developing within D365 Business Central Comfortable owning technical delivery on projects end-to-end Able to contribute to solution design and challenge requirements constructively Experience mentoring junior developers or supporting technical best practice is beneficial Proactive, detail-oriented and delivery-focused Communication & Collaboration Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Comfortable working closely with consultants, architects and clients Confident collaborating across distributed and hybrid teams Values & Culture High-quality engineering and pride in delivery Collaborative, supportive and knowledge-sharing mindset Curious about AI, automation and emerging Microsoft technologies Operates with integrity and accountability Takes ownership and sees work through to completion
