This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Analytics Engineering Manager (Remote). In this role, you will lead the self‑service analytics infrastructure and data modeling practices, making a significant impact on how data is leveraged across the organization. You will partner closely with analytics teams to translate their needs into scalable data models and lead a growing team of analytics engineers.
Your leadership will ensure that business users can confidently access and utilize data, ultimately enhancing decision‑making processes within the company. - Lead and grow a team of analytics engineers, fostering a culture of craft and user empathy
- Drive the rollout of Lightdash as the central source of truth for business reporting
- Own the development of dashboards, transitioning ownership to analysts as self‑service matures
- Translate reporting needs into maintainable data products in collaboration with stakeholders
- Design training programs for business users across all functions
- Evolve core dbt models and the semantic layer to support key analytical use cases
- Establish governance and standards for metrics, dashboard designs, and testing frameworks
- Collaborate with analysts and Data Engineering to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability
- Balance thoroughness with speed in a fast‑moving environment
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or technical analytics roles, with 2+ years in people management
- Hands‑on leadership style, capable of partnering with senior leadership on strategy
- Deep proficiency in dbt and experience with building and scaling dbt projects
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with semantic layers and metrics layers (Lightdash, Looker, etc.)
- Proven track record of fostering self‑service analytics through training and enablement
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design patterns
- Strong business acumen and a drive to create scalable data products with real impact
- Comfort with ambiguity and a passion for team culture and data quality
