The Senior Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Power BI solutions to support data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation. This role requires strong expertise in data modelling, DAX, and visualisation best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
This is a full‑time, permanent, hybrid role split between working from home and one of our UK offices.
Key Responsibilities- Build and optimise interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop robust data models using Power BI and related technologies.
- Implement advanced DAX calculations for complex business logic.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security within Power BI solutions.
- Optimise performance of datasets and reports.
- Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide training and support for Power BI users across the organisation.
- Establish and maintain Power BI governance standards.
- Document processes, data models, and solutions for future reference.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and relational databases.
- Experience with SQL and writing complex queries.
- Familiarity with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.) is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 3 years in Power BI.
- Proven track record of delivering enterprise‑level BI solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior developers.
- Microsoft Certified:
Data Analyst Associate or similar certifications. - Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
