Platform Engineering Manager

Location: Fully remote (very occasional on-site travel)

We are seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to provide operational and technical leadership across platform, Dev Ops, and solution delivery. Acting as deputy to the Solutions Delivery Manager, you will lead a team of developers, oversee Dev Ops and cloud delivery, and ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions across the organisation.

This role combines people leadership, delivery management, and hands‑on technical oversight
, working closely with stakeholders, service teams, and third‑party suppliers.

• Act as deputy to the Solutions Delivery Manager, ensuring continuity of delivery
• Line manage a team of developers and platform engineers
• Lead Dev Ops, CI/CD, and cloud delivery across Azure environments
• Oversee solution design, development, and deployment practices
• Ensure robust documentation across the delivery lifecycle
• Champion Agile and SCRUM delivery methodologies
• Lead systems integration and platform interoperability
• Act as escalation point for technical and delivery issues
• Engage with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business language
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices

• Proven experience managing technical delivery teams
• Strong background in Dev Ops and platform engineering

Hands‑on experience with:

• CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
• SQL Server and data‑driven systems
• Experience with systems integration and service delivery
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within Agile / SCRUM frameworks
• Dev Ops or Agile certifications
• Experience with D365 or enterprise SaaS platforms
• Background in solution or service architecture
