Aviation Forecaster / Senior Analyst – Remote (UK/Europe/Global)

Join to apply for the Aviation Forecaster / Senior Analyst – Remote (UK/Europe/Global) role at Avia Solutions
.

This is a fully remote role open to candidates in the UK, Europe, Middle East, or other aligned time zones.

We’re looking for an aviation forecasting professional to join Avia Solutions’ global advisory team working on live airport and airline transactions across six continents.

This is a fully remote, high-impact role with direct exposure to airport CEOs, airlines and major infrastructure investors.

Ideal for someone seeking greater responsibility, visibility and real project ownership.

If you want to shape major aviation investment decisions rather than sit in a large hierarchy, we’d like to hear from you.

Remote - UK, Europe, Middle East or aligned time zones

Avia Solutions is an independent specialist aviation consultancy advising airports, airlines, and global infrastructure investors. Now approaching our 25th anniversary, we support major airport transactions, strategic planning, route development, due diligence, and business‑plan modelling across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australasia, North America, and Latin America.

We are currently active on several high‑profile airport and airline projects, including multi‑billion‑euro transactions, strategic performance reviews, and route/network planning assignments. As a boutique team, we offer direct exposure to senior decision‑makers, meaningful responsibility, and the ability to shape work from start to finish.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role combining:

Traffic Forecasting (Core)
  • Developing robust passenger and movement forecasts (bottom‑up, long‑term econometric, QSI, peak‑hour and design day).
  • Working with industry datasets: MIDT, OAG, ACI, CAA, airline schedules, macro indicators.
Analytical Excellence
  • Translating complex analysis into clear insights for C‑suite and investor audiences.
  • Supporting due‑diligence projects, strategic studies, route development, and airport/airline planning.
(Ideally) Business‑Plan Modelling
  • Building integrated Excel financial models for airport and airline business cases (desirable but not essential).
  • Linking traffic, revenue, cost and capex assumptions into structured forecasts.
Client Engagement
  • Presenting findings to airport CEOs, airline executives and investment committees.
  • Working closely with senior colleagues and contributing to proposal development where appropriate.

The role can be hired at Analyst / Consultant / Senior Consultant level depending on experience.

Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in aviation forecasting, airline planning, transport economics, or an analytical role in aviation.
  • Ability to independently develop traffic forecasts using standard industry methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence presenting to senior/non‑technical audiences.
  • Self‑driven mindset and comfort working remotely across multiple time zones.
  • Experience with business‑plan or financial modelling.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Python or other analytics tools.
  • Experience working with international teams or multilingual environments.
  • Familiarity with airport concessions, airline strategy, or transaction advisory.

Exceptional recent graduates from specialist aviation programmes (e.g., Cranfield ATM) are also encouraged to apply.

Why Work With Us? Remote Flexibility
  • Work from anywhere in the UK, Europe, Middle East or aligned time zones.
  • No commuting - genuine work‑life balance.
  • 15‑20% travel for key meetings only
High‑Impact Work
  • Direct exposure to C‑suite stakeholders and investment committees.
  • Your work is visible, valued, and shapes real aviation decisions.
  • Mentoring from senior forecasters and industry leaders (ex‑BAA, ex‑GE/GECAS, former airline executives).
  • Clear progression to Project Lead / Principal Consultant roles.
  • Broad exposure to transactions, network strategy, business planning, and M&A.
Compensation
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
