BAE Systems Digital Intelligence are expanding our User Experience team and are seeking a dynamic, experienced UX Designer with a enhanced DV clearance.
If you are dedicated to designing intuitive and impactful digital products through research and user-centered design, this role is for you. You will join a diverse team of designers creating world‑class digital solutions for secure government customers.
Whether working as a UX Designer, a Lead UX/Service Designer or User Researcher, candidates are expected to apply User‑Centred Design (UCD) methodologies across all phases of delivery—from research through to implementation—ensuring alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
Key Responsibilities- Create user‑friendly, innovative design solutions that address complex challenges.
- Develop and present design concepts through wireframes, prototypes, and visual presentations.
- Evaluate and improve existing digital products with a focus on usability, inclusivity and accessibility.
- Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions (e.g., interviews, usability testing, journey mapping).
- Lead and analyse usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and other user‑centered design methods.
- Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and deliver business value.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff.
- Present design solutions to clients, backed by research and best practices.
- Advocate for user needs while aligning with business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of user‑centered design methods and tools.
- Proficient in design software such as Figma.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑driven environment.
Due to the nature of our work, successful candidates for this role will be required to hold an active eDV before applying for this opportunity.
