Aboutthe Role & Team
The Business Information Security Manager serves as the primary point of commercial contact for enterprise security within a specific geographic region. As a trusted advisor, the manager reports to a BISO Director and supports aligning business objectives with SITA’s security governance and standards. The role advises stakeholders on balancing business priorities with information security risks, collaborates with the business information security office, customer security center, and enterprise teams to ensure consistent and effective security practices, and assesses and reports on security risks, recommending mitigation strategies where needed.
This role serves as a bridge between business operations and enterprise‑wide security best practices.
- Ensure GEO commercial requirements align with SITA’s security governance, policies, and standards, while monitoring ongoing deliveries to support assurance.
- Contribute to enterprise strategy on compliance, certifications and best practice improvements.
- Support awareness of regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations.
- Maintain clear communication between GEO stakeholders and relevant teams.
- Assist the BISO Director in customer engagements, audits, and achieving business objectives.
- Represent SITA’s cybersecurity program at conferences, client meetings, and industry forums.
- Promote security awareness and education across the GEO.
- Maintain understanding of GEO processes, systems, data, and partnerships, and report on cybersecurity status to the BISO Director.
- Combines business acumen with technical expertise to enhance security posture and collaborate effectively with GEO stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science or information systems.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Cloud, IT, information security, governance, compliance, audit, and risk management.
- Skilled in understanding and interpreting penetration testing, vulnerability management, application testing, and red team engagements.
- Knowledge of Data Privacy regulations.
- Hold an active cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA).
- Experience in aviation or transportation sectors is an asset.
- Strong English communication, relationship‑building skills, and ability to translate technical/security issues for business users.
- Proficient in Agile methodology, matrix organizations, managing multiple priorities, and service level management.
- Analytical and data‑driven, with critical thinking and ability to interpret and apply policies across complex businesses.
- Capable of independently influencing others, facilitating teams, and driving objectives to successful outcomes.
