Position: OCI Migration Engineer Berkshire And Remote - 6 Months+

OCI Migration Engineer - Wokingham Berkshire and remote

Contract Length: 6 months+

Rate: £437 per day inside IR35

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for an OCI Migration Engineer.

Contractor must be SC cleared (active) or SC eligible. Cleared is preferred.

Must be PAYE through Umbrella

Role Description
  • Experienced in delivering complex, multi-stream IT programmes end‑to‑end across large cross‑functional technical teams, ensuring scope, timelines, and outcomes are achieved in line with organisational priorities. Knowledge of and experience in IT networks, security and identity domains desirable.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining NESO programme governance, including decision‑making forums, reporting, assurance activities, and compliance with regulatory or organisational standards.
  • Accountable for maintaining an integrated programme plan (OCI transition plan, OCI apps migration (core apps), apps disposition (non‑core apps), network, security & identity), managing critical paths, inter‑programme and project dependencies, and resource allocation to enable predictable delivery.
  • Accountable for orchestration and outcomes for cross‑functional workshops with NESO teams, 3rd‑party suppliers, partners and National Grid.
  • Accountable for managing senior stakeholders and communication, ensuring clarity of priorities, timely escalation, and alignment across business, technology, and external partners acting as the voice of delivery status and delivery performance.
  • Accountable for programme financial management, including budget setting, forecasting, tracking spend, managing commercial contracts, and ensuring value for money.
  • Accountable for proactive identification and management of risks, issues, and dependencies, driving mitigation actions and ensuring programme stability.
  • Accountable for adopting and embedding appropriate IT delivery methodologies, ensuring teams operate effectively using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models aligned to programme needs.
  • Accountable for leading and motivating cross‑functional delivery teams, ensuring clarity of roles, strong collaboration, and consistent progress towards milestones.
  • Accountable for driving supplier performance and applying strong commercial acumen, ensuring vendors deliver to contracted outcomes, managing SLAs and commercial risks, and securing value for money throughout the supplier life cycle.
  • Accountable for analysing complex information landscapes, using data‑driven insights to inform decisions, resolve ambiguity, and maintain programme direction.
  • Accountable for engagement and alignment with business change team, ensuring technology delivery translates into positive organisational/end user outcomes.
