Purpose of role:
The UX/UI Designer will lead the design and iteration of SkilledUp Life’s product interfaces. This role ensures consistent, user-friendly experiences across web and mobile, supports cross-functional collaboration, and develops design systems that scale with the platform.
Key activities:
Design and refine Volunteer and Company Profile screens (web & mobile), dashboards, and Opportunity flows.
Apply mobile-first improvements (navigation, headers, dropdowns, error/confirmation screens).
Incorporate feedback from design leads, product managers, and CEO to refine designs.
Update design system components for consistency across platforms.
Manage and progress design tickets through iteration, review, and completion.
Partner with developers to ensure smooth handoffs and clarify design logic.
Collaborate with marketing on visuals for volunteer postings and campaigns.
Support team onboarding/offboarding and evaluate new designer profiles.
Actively engage on Figma, GitHub, and Slack for transparent collaboration.

- Collaboration with developers and understanding of design handoffs.
- Attention to detail and iterative design thinking.
- Basic knowledge of GitHub or version control for design assets.
- Ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and visual storytelling skills.
- Experience in creating mobile-first, user-friendly interfaces.
