Purpose of role:
-The QA/QC Test Volunteer ensures the SkilledUp Life product and tools are stable, usable, and continuously improving. You will plan and execute tests, report bugs, develop automation scripts, and collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver a high-quality product experience.
-Test Planning & Strategy: Create and refine QA test plans, participate in strategy discussions, evaluate frameworks, and ensure clear test case documentation.
-Manual & Exploratory Testing: Perform exploratory, sanity, and regression testing on core functionalities; validate bug fixes; maintain issue tracking sheets.
-Automation Development: Develop and merge automation scripts for key workflows, integrate with CI/CD, and review peers’ scripts.
-Bug Reporting & Tracking: Log, verify, and close issues in GitHub; collaborate with developers and PMs; improve ticket quality.
-Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: Attend team meetings, coordinate with PMs and developers, and provide feedback to improve QA processes.
-Continuous Learning & Problem-Solving: Research new QA tools, adapt priorities, troubleshoot blockers, and escalate/share solutions.

- Plan, create, and refine QA test plans; participate in testing strategy discussions.
- Evaluate testing frameworks and ensure clear, detailed test case documentation.
- Perform manual, exploratory, sanity, and regression testing on core product functionalities.
- Validate bug fixes and maintain issue tracking sheets.
- Develop, review, and merge automation scripts for key workflows; integrate scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Log, verify, and close bugs in GitHub; collaborate with developers and product managers to improve ticket quality.
- Attend team meetings and coordinate cross-functionally with developers and PMs.
- Provide feedback to improve QA processes and ensure product quality.
- Research new QA tools, troubleshoot blockers, and share solutions with the team.
- Strong QA and software testing skills (manual and automated).
- Familiarity with testing methodologies (exploratory, regression, sanity, and automation).
- Experience with automation tools and CI/CD integration.
- Proficiency in GitHub or similar issue tracking/version control systems.
- Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills for documenting and reporting bugs clearly.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new QA tools and processes.
