Overview
IT Business Partner we have an exciting opportunity to join in our Technology, Security & Governance (TSG) department. This is a permanent role that can be based in either our London or Darlington office, with the flexibility to work on a hybrid or home-based basis.
We are looking for a collaborative, strategic thinker who can build relationships and align technology solutions with business strategies, driving operational efficiency and delivering value to the organisation.
The roleReporting to the Head of IT Business Relations & Consulting, this role is anticipated to be interchangeable and multifaceted, requiring flexibility to support across all areas within Railpen. The primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between business operations and TSG, ensuring technology solutions align with business strategies and deliver value.
The personWe are looking for candidates with previous experience in business partnering roles within Technology, Change or Finance. Experience in financial services, with knowledge of Pensions or Investment & Fiduciary business line operations, is desirable. We seek collaborative, strategic thinkers who thrive on building meaningful relationships and driving positive outcomes. You should have an understanding of IT concepts, processes, and best practices, and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends.
You should translate business needs into IT solutions and strategies, with strong business acumen and analytical skills. You should be able to understand both long-term and short-term perspectives, determine whether needs can be met by existing products, and support business units with continuous improvement insights and shaping demand for technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will embody a customer-centric approach, prioritise the business’s needs, and demonstrate resilience to shape and steer decisions to align technology with strategic goals. You will motivate teams to embrace innovative processes and technologies, fostering growth and efficiency.
