Rate: £550 - £600 a day

We are seeking a Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect to participate in a structured knowledge transfer (KT) handover from the incumbent cloud architect. This role focuses on absorbing, documenting, and validating information about the existing Azure environment to ensure a smooth transition of ownership to the internal team. The focus is 100% on receiving KT, understanding the current‑state cloud landscape, and preparing to take over operational and architectural responsibilities once handover is complete.

There is no initial design or build work; the primary responsibility is to learn, document, and transition knowledge.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure across core services (compute, networking, storage, identity).
• Ability to review and understand existing architecture and configurations.
• Excellent ability to learn quickly, ask the right questions, and absorb complex technical environments.
• Practical knowledge of Azure monitoring tools, governance, security, and identity management (Azure AD/Entra ).
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate KT into clear guides and runbooks.

• Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑400 beneficial).
• Experience in cloud environment takeovers, service transitions, or onboarding into complex technical estates.
• Understanding of Dev Ops practices and tooling (not required but beneficial).
