The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transformation Project Manager to join a fast-growing, private-equity backed organisation operating across the UK built environment sector.
This is a high-impact strategic role focused on delivering business transformation initiatives and leading post-merger integration (PMI) programmes following acquisitions.
You will play a key role in shaping how newly acquired businesses are integrated into the wider group while also delivering major digital and operational transformation projects that improve efficiency, systems, and ways of working across the organisation.
Working closely with executive leadership, this position offers significant visibility and the chance to influence how the business scales during a period of rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation & Programme Delivery
Lead complex transformation initiatives across multiple business functions
Deliver structured programmes covering systems, processes, and organisational change
Manage multi-stream project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies
Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business strategy
Post-Merger Integration
Lead integration programmes following acquisitions
Develop integration roadmaps across operations, finance, HR, IT and commercial functions
Track synergy targets, integration milestones and business outcomes
Identify and mitigate operational or cultural risks during integration
Facilitate steering committees and executive reporting
Digital Transformation
Lead modernisation projects including ERP, CRM, workflow systems and automation
Support system consolidation across legacy and acquired businesses
Work closely with IT and senior stakeholders to prioritise digital initiatives
Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners
PMO & Governance
Establish robust programme governance and reporting structures
Introduce consistent project frameworks, tools and documentation
Develop executive dashboards tracking KPIs, benefits and risks
Promote best practice project delivery across the organisation
Stakeholder & Change Management
Build strong relationships with senior leadership and functional teams
Lead workshops, decision forums and alignment sessions
Deliver clear communication on progress, risks and transformation impact
Support change adoption and embed new processes and systems
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
5–10+ years experience in transformation, programme management or integration
Proven delivery of large-scale change or digital transformation programmes
Strong stakeholder management skills across senior leadership
Experience managing complex, cross-functional techical projects
Excellent communication and structured problem-solving abilities
Desirable Experience
Experience leading post-merger integration programmes
Background in private equity backed or acquisition-driven businesses
Consulting background (strategy, transformation, operations)
Exposure to ERP / CRM implementations (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics)
Project certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or Prosci
