Who We Are!

Back in 2019, spider

Silk was born with a bold idea: build regional, sovereign cybersecurity IP that could stand tall on the global stage.

Our mission? To shake up the way organizations protect their ever‑changing digital worlds with continuous, intelligent, and autonomous security that doesn’t miss a beat.

We’re a global mix of curious minds, problem solvers, and passionate builders, all united by one goal: making the internet a safer place for everyone. Around here, we thrive on vision, energy, and a strong sense of ownership.

If this feels like your kind of crew, you’ll probably fit right in.

About the Role

As an IT Manager at spider

Silk, you will be the backbone of our office technology and infrastructure. You’ll own everything from keeping our internet and network humming, to managing physical security systems, endpoints, and vendor relationships. This is a hands‑on role that blends technical expertise with people skills. You’ll work directly with colleagues across all teams to ensure a seamless, secure, and productive workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain office network infrastructure, including internet connectivity, WiFi access points, switches, and routers to ensure reliable and high performance connectivity.

  • Oversee physical security systems including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and visitor management to ensure a safe and secure workplace.

  • Administer and maintain the office firewall, VPN configurations, and network security policies to protect company data and systems.

  • Coordinate with ISPs and other third‑party vendors to ensure service continuity, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues promptly.

  • Manage hardware assets including laptops, desktop computers, monitors, printers, peripherals, and other office equipment, covering procurement, setup, maintenance, and retirement.

  • Provide daily IT support to office colleagues, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues with a solutions‑first attitude.

  • Maintain and enforce IT policies and procedures, including user access controls, device management, and data security standards.

  • Work closely with the SOC Analyst to adapt and implement required security measures for internal hardware and software security.

  • Plan and execute IT infrastructure upgrades and improvements in alignment with company growth.

  • Manage vendor relationships professionally, ensuring SLAs are met and value is delivered.

  • Keep accurate records of IT assets, licenses, warranties, and service agreements.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in IT management, IT operations, or a similar role, preferably in a fast‑paced or startup environment.

  • Proven experience managing office network infrastructure, including WiFi access points, switches, routers, and firewalls.

  • Hands‑on experience with CCTV systems, access control platforms, and physical security technologies.

  • Solid understanding of firewall management, VPN setup and administration, and network security best practices.

  • Experience working with ISPs and managing service level agreements and escalations.

  • Proficiency in managing and supporting hardware assets: laptops, desktops, printers, monitors, and peripheral devices.

  • Strong vendor management skills, comfortable negotiating, coordinating, and holding vendors accountable.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical colleagues.

  • Highly organized, self‑driven, and capable of juggling multiple priorities without missing a beat.

  • A collaborative mindset and strong alignment with our values: ownership, curiosity, and making things better.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with MDM (Mobile Device Management) platforms such as Jamf or Intune.

  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and asset management tools.

  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2).

  • Experience supporting hybrid or remote office setups.

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CCNA, or equivalent.
