TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER - Product, Manufacturing & IT

35 hours per week
Shift pattern:
Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00
Salary: up to £70,000 per annum dependant on experience
Location:
Hybrid to Norwich 2 days in office a week (with occasional travel to other sites in line with business needs)
Start Date:
May/June 2026

We’re searching for an experienced, confident Project Leader with a strong background in physical product delivery, manufacturing/operational implementation but with some experience of IT/Software delivery. You will lead new product introduction (NPI), supplier integration, and end-to-end operational readiness – taking hardware‑enabled solutions from concept through production and into live service. This is not a role for Scrum Masters or Software only Project Managers.
Experience- 10+ years’ experience managing projects across hardware, firmware, software, and operational process improvement.
- Proven success delivering complex projects, including planning, prioritisation, and resource management.
- Evidence of strong stakeholder management.
- Experience producing resource‑levelled development plans.
- Strong background in structured lifecycle delivery (Service Design, documentation, configuration management, Service Acceptance).
- Proficiency with project tools such as Jira and Microsoft Project.
- Bonus:
Experience in Telecare or Telecoms environments.
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile PM, or equivalent).
- Desirable:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field. - Desirable:
Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Solid understanding and use of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and how to integrate them across mixed delivery models.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on practical, innovative solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of structured development life cycles, including specification, testing, documentation, and service readiness.
- Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Resilient under pressure, flexible, and comfortable navigating complex or changing environments.
As a Delivery Project Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex operational and technical projects – bringing new products and services into live operation while driving impactful process improvements. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure every project is delivered with quality, structure, and efficiency. This role is not focused on software sprint management or pure IT change delivery.
We are looking for someone comfortable working with physical products, suppliers, operations teams and manufacturing environments. However, our product has a high IT component and so some knowledge of technical projects would be an advantage.
