Position: ICT Solutions Architect - £55,944 - £60,912 Constabulary, Hybrid (Homeworker)

We are seeking an experienced ICT Solutions Architect to join the Joint ICT Department for Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies. This is a senior technical leadership role, responsible for shaping and governing the strategic use of technology across the forces.

As a Solutions Architect, you will work at the highest technical level, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and effective technical solutions. You will support the Head of Enterprise Architecture in defining and driving the forces’ technical strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and national policing standards.

You will provide expert guidance across a broad range of technologies, ensuring that the ICT infrastructure maximises capability, resilience, and value. This role is critical to enabling digital transformation, cloud adoption, innovation, and the delivery of high‑quality ICT services.

It is Essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
  • BTECH/HNC qualification or equivalent or significant period of proven industry experience in an information technology environment
  • Demonstrate extensive experience and technical depth of knowledge across a number of areas including the Microsoft application stack and the enterprise delivery of ICT Services.
  • Proven experience of working in a large and complex organisation within an architectural role Demonstrate proven experience and skills in producing technical designs5
  • Proven track record in technology, network and application planning, design and implementation including projects and systems work involving a diverse multi-discipline technical staff in a complex organisation
  • Well-developed written communication skills for effective communication to a wide range of stakeholders, including the production of high quality documentation
  • Excellent communicator at all levels, across both ICT and business stakeholders and teams with the ability to explain complex technical subjects to a wide range of audiences on all levels
  • Full driving licence with the ability to travel as required throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and to remote and sensitive locations as appropriate
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
  • TOGAF Certification or actively studying towards qualification
  • Experience of implementing solutions that comply with Home Office security requirements in a policing environmen
  • Microsoft or equivalent qualification in the relevant technology stack (i.e. Azure, M365, SQL).
