Senior Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manages related Service Desk Tool queues and tickets
• Resolve or elevate incidents and service requests, maintaining relevant records promptly and efficiently within SLA
• Deploy and configure VMware Virtual Machines in vCenter and Azure
• Install and manage IT security tools
• Build new systems and deploy application software
• Install new software releases and system upgrades
• Review and update SOPs and other relevant documentation
• Remote Desktop Gateway management, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Configure monitoring tools
• Active Directory management and troubleshooting
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting
• General vCenter management and troubleshooting
• Certificate management
• Partner with Engineering, Development and Professional Services teams to ensure successful implementation of new technologies and assure SOPs are accurately recorded and updated
• Provide advanced level technical troubleshooting and fault‑finding for IT systems and 3rd party tools/services

• Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, SQL, Active Directory, storage and backup devices, VMware, Citrix, and other solutions as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities
• Proficiency in server, storage and virtualization standards, techniques and tools
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication to all levels of the organization
• Effective organization and prioritization of work
• Ability to simultaneously manage and deliver multiple projects
• Collaboration with peers, cross‑functional teams, team leaders and engineering to achieve end‑to‑end product and process quality
• Influencing others to ensure levels of quality and timeliness are met during the service improvement and delivery process
• Availability for after‑hours and standby when required
• Ability to work during North American or United Kingdom hours when required
• Experience with SaaS models and large‑scale distributed web architecture utilizing cloud technologies

• VMware Certified
• Azure and/or AWS Certified
• Networking Certified
• ITIL v3 or v4 (nice to have)
• Cyber Security Certification (a plus)
