AI Specialist

In this position you contribute to the design, development and deployment of AI models and solutions across a wide range of business processes. You support experimentation and model optimisation, ensure accuracy and scalability, and help integrate AI capabilities into everyday workflows. Working closely with stakeholders, you deliver secure, reliable and high quality AI outcomes that strengthen Fugro’s digital capabilities. In an international environment, you help embed AI as a core enabler of innovation and operational excellence.

• Build and train AI models using approved frameworks and datasets
• Optimize models for performance and scalability
• Validate outputs and ensure alignment with business requirements
• Prepare and clean data for modelling activities
• Integrate AI models into applications and workflows
• Maintain data lineage and documentation
• Ensure adherence to responsible AI principles and organisational policies
• Work with the Next Gen AI Lead to prioritise tasks and deliverables
• Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities
• Collaborate with data engineers, IT teams, innovation groups and business stakeholders

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in AI model development and deployment
• Certifications in AWS or Azure AI Fundamentals;
  Python for Data Science
• Proficient in Python and machine learning libraries, and understand data preparation and feature engineering
• Basic knowledge of MLOps and Cloud platforms
• Excellent English language skills, both written and oral
