We are now looking for a skilled and passionate Data Engineer to join our growing Data & AI team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, help shape our enterprise data platform, and play a central role in Lifeways’ journey toward becoming a truly insight-driven organisation.
About the RoleReporting to the Data Engineering Manager, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, operational systems, and future AI initiatives.
You’ll work closely with BI Analysts, Data Scientists, operational teams, and IT colleagues to ensure data is trusted, accessible, secure, and optimised for business use.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the adoption of Microsoft Fabric
, modern lakehouse architecture, and scalable cloud-based engineering practices.
- Building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Developing data integrations across operational, HR, finance, and care systems
- Working with modern technologies including:
- Microsoft Fabric
- SQL
- Python
- Spark
- Supporting lakehouse and Medallion architecture
- Improving data quality, governance, automation, and performance
- Collaborating with BI, Data Science, and operational teams
- Experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Fabric, Azure, Databricks or similar)
- Knowledge of data modelling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Understanding of CI/CD, Git, testing, and modern engineering practices
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
