We're looking for a forward-thinking SEO Strategist (AI Search & Content) for a US-based digital growth agency. You'll optimise content for both traditional search engines (Google, Bing) and AI-first platforms (Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, Bing Deep Search), ensuring we surface where people actually search, ask questions, and get answers in 2025 and beyond.

What you'll do:
AI search architect: Structure content so it's easy for AI search engines and agents to understand, summarise, and reference.
Schema and structured data specialist: Add and maintain schema.org/JSON-LD to help search engines and AI tools read our content properly. Run technical audits using tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Jet Octopus.
AI content producer: Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to create outlines, draft content, and refine it to fit our brand voice.
Search behaviour analyst: Track how people search across Google, AI tools, social search, and long-form conversational queries. Use this to spot gaps and improve visibility.
Entity and topical strategist: Build topic clusters, map key entities, and approach keyword research through how AI understands topics and relationships.
Cross-platform search optimiser: Help optimise content for Tik Tok, Instagram, Google, and AI search through better captions, keywords, tagging, and content structure.
Who we're looking for:
Someone with 3 – 6 years of experience who has the following skills and traits:
Modern SEO foundation with AI curiosity :
You have solid SEO fundamentals, but you're itching to move beyond legacy tactics. You're obsessed with AI and use it daily, follow every platform change, and understand the content patterns AI models reward.
Technical without being a developer :
You can think structurally about schema, indexing, and content architecture. You're comfortable with data tools (GSC, GA4, Looker, spreadsheets) and can analyse search patterns without needing to code
Content strategist :
You have strong instincts for content structuring and understand entity SEO, semantic search, and topical clustering. You know how to make content both human-friendly and machine-readable.
Systems thinker :
You see search as an ecosystem. You understand how different channels influence each other and can think holistically about search visibility.
Analytically curious :
You spot patterns, identify gaps, and get excited about experimenting with 'search beyond SERPs.' You're comfortable ope rationalising AI tools and running structured tests.
Bonus points if you have
Experience with Python or Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis
Exposure to paid search or Meta advertising, and how they create cross-channel signals
Track record of staying current with AI search algorithm changes across multiple platforms
Understanding of how brand queries and demand generation impact organic search
Previous work optimising for answer boxes, featured snippets, or AI summaries
