Senior Controls Support Engineer
As a Specialist Control Support Engineer, you work with our in‑house developed, PLC‑driven sorter systems that power automated material handling processes. Using cutting‑edge technology you help customers get the most out of their automation systems, making a direct impact on operations at their sites. You are the highest level of support within the Service Desk, analysing complex incidents, restoring service and identifying root causes.
Responsibilities- Act as a technical expert and resolve complex issues.
- Handle high‑level, often multidisciplinary incidents, problems and changes.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, tools and processes.
- Lead root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term solutions.
- Coordinate resources for analysis and on‑site activities.
- Support knowledge sharing, training and team development.
- Stay ahead of new technologies and advise on their use.
- Strengthen collaboration between teams, departments and customers.
- Contribute to project execution and service transitions.
- Take ownership of and lead customer escalations.
- Proactive, solution‑driven and enjoys working in a team.
- Technical background.
- Experience with PLCs / networks (Siemens TIA Portal is a plus).
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Willing to join an on‑call rotation.
- Competing salary range of €5000 to €5600 gross per month (excluding holiday allowance). Possibility to grow above this scale through performance.
- 40 vacation days (20 statutory days and a flexible budget worth 20 days).
