Functional Area:

Syntax Systems Ltd is seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Lead Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions. This key role will be instrumental in defining the SAP FICO strategy, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules, and driving financial transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive SAP FICO expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable and high‑performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and Design SAP FICO Solutions:
    Lead the overall architecture, configuration, and deployment of SAP FI and CO to meet business requirements and enhance financial processes.
  • Integration Leadership:
    Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and other relevant SAP modules.
  • Strategic Planning:
    Define the SAP FICO roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and emerging technology trends in financial management.
  • Technical Oversight:
    Provide guidance on system performance, best practices, and process optimization to improve financial reporting and analysis.
  • Stakeholder

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with finance leaders, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements and drive SAP FICO initiatives.
  • Customization & Enhancements:
    Oversee SAP FICO customization, enhancements, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Mentorship & Leadership:
    Lead and mentor a team of SAP consultants, promoting knowledge sharing, technical growth, and professional development.
  • Compliance & Security:
    Ensure SAP FICO solutions adhere to compliance standards, financial regulations, and security policies.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience:

    15+ years of SAP FICO experience, with at least 5-10 years in an SAP architecture or leadership role.
  • Expertise:
    In‑depth knowledge of SAP FI and CO processes, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, and controlling processes.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4

    HANA, Fiori, and cloud‑based SAP solutions specific to financial management.
  • Leadership Abilities:
    Proven track record of leading SAP FICO projects and guiding technical teams effectively.
  • Problem‑Solving

    Skills:

    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex SAP financial environments.
  • Communication &

    Collaboration:

    Excellent ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and translate financial needs into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industry‑specific SAP FICO implementations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting tools.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • SAP FICO certification is highly desirable.
  • Additional certifications in project management (PMP, Agile) and other SAP modules will be considered an advantage.
