Remote Senior Architect - GIS Platforms

Location: Millbrook

Lead the GIS Delivery Platform initiatives as a Senior Solution Architect in a remote contract role. Drive modernization and maintenance efforts across five exciting projects.

This role, based out of Peterborough or Toronto, is for a professional with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture and extensive solution design expertise. You'll engage in planning, implementation, and analysis for various technologies focusing on legislation compliance and governance standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong programming and data modeling skills to inform architectural decisions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate GIS modernization projects and planned maintenance

• Develop solution designs for legacy data maintenance systems

• Implement required ArcGIS Enterprise infrastructure

• Engage in cybersecurity analysis and mitigation strategies

• Provide architecture advice to IT teams and contractors

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years in IT, with 5 years in solution architecture

• Familiarity with modern GIS tools and data architecture

• Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript programming

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture processes

• Experienced in applied data modeling and GIS solutions
