IT Support Technician Annual Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Gloucester, GL4 Job Type: Full-time, Office-based We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide essential on-site support and contribute to the day-to-day technical operations, primarily within our clients Gloucester office. Day-to-day of the role:
Work collaboratively with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to provide efficient and friendly on-site IT support, including resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Assist in setting up new users on all systems and applications, and installing the correct hardware in the office. Support the ongoing modernisation from server to cloud-based infrastructure. Help employees with IT-related queries, including Microsoft 365, case management software, SharePoint, and remote working solutions.

Maintain and update IT systems to ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations (GDPR). Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and hardware devices. Support the implementation of IT security policies, monitor for potential risks, and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain IT asset records, user guides, and troubleshooting documentation. Qualifications:

Proven experience in IT support or a similar role. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and remote working solutions. Strong understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, and GDPR compliance. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. Willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations as needed. Ability to think creatively and dynamically when faced with IT challenges.
