The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models, with a particular focus on large language models (LLMs), computer vision, and natural language processing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data science, expertise in state-of-the-art AI frameworks, and a proven track record of leading AI projects from conception to deployment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or Engineering, complemented by a minimum of five years of experience in machine learning and data science. Recent hands-on experience with LLMs, including integrating off-the-shelf models, fine-tuning smaller models, building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and designing agentic flows is essential. A deep understanding of foundational models, transformers, and related research is required.

Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of machine learning principles, deep learning, and expertise in Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing.

Proficiency in managing large datasets for AI projects, along with strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, sklearn, matplotlib, and nltk, is necessary.

Experience with frameworks and tools like Hugging Face, Spacy, BERT, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Open Router, Modal, and similar services is highly valued. Candidates must be capable of writing clean, efficient, and bug-free code, with the ability to lead projects from initial concept through to operational deployment. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models, with a focus on large language models and deep learning techniques.

Implement and fine-tune LLMs, integrating them into existing systems and workflows to support various business applications.

Build and maintain scalable AI pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment, ensuring robustness and efficiency.

Lead efforts in managing large and complex datasets, ensuring data quality and consistency for AI initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, software developers, and product managers to deliver AI solutions aligned with business goals.

Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in AI, incorporating innovative techniques and best practices into ongoing projects.

Contribute to the development of technical documentation, code repositories, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Participate in code reviews, mentoring junior team members, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Support deployment and monitoring of AI models in cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with governance standards.
