Location: Toronto (Hybrid or Remote)
Duration: June 1 – August 21, 2026 (with some flexibility)
Remuneration: $22/hour gross (paid bi-weekly, less statutory deductions)

We are currently seeking a Social Media Coordinator Intern for a 12-week internship in Toronto, with a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement.

Reporting to the Vice President, Digital and Delivery, you will help manage CFIB’s presence across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), Facebook, Linked In, and You Tube. You will assist in content creation, post scheduling, trend monitoring, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of CFIB’s social media strategy across multiple channels
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content including posts, graphics, stories, and short-form videos
  • Contribute creative ideas for social campaigns, contests, and audience engagement
  • Maintain the social media content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaigns, webinars, partnerships, and seasonal themes
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and industry best practices to keep CFIB’s content fresh and relevant
  • Track key metrics using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hub Spot, Meta Insights) and report on performance
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent messaging
  • Stay up to date on CFIB’s initiatives, policies, and campaigns to reflect them accurately in content

What makes a successful Social Media Coordinator Intern?

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or a related field
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Basic familiarity with design and editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, InShot)
  • Interest in analytics and performance tracking tools like Google Analytics, Hub Spot, or Hootsuite
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Experience with social media ads (Meta Ads Manager, Linked In ads), SEO, and hashtag strategies is a bonus
