Our client is a leading international organization operating within a fast‑paced, business‑critical environment where technology availability and user experience are key success factors. To strengthen its End User Computing (EUC) team, the company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Desktop Support Engineer to provide premium user support, maintain workplace technologies, and contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities End User Support- Provide day‑to‑day desktop support for users located in Geneva and remote offices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, mobility, and telephony issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows and macOS workstations.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and business‑critical enterprise applications.
- Manage and maintain end‑user devices including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
- Prepare and onboard new employees, including:
- User account creation
- Workstation and laptop provisioning
- Application deployment
- Telephony and communication setup
- Network connectivity configuration
- Support employee moves, changes, and offboarding activities.
- Deploy and maintain devices using SCCM, Intune, and other endpoint management solutions.
- Administer and support:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
- Group Policies (GPO)
- Exchange
- Microsoft Endpoint Management solutions
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards and security requirements.
- Support trading floor and market data applications.
- Ensure the availability and performance of critical business applications used by front‑office teams.
- Liaise with vendors, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to resolve complex incidents and service requests.
- Support collaboration and communication platforms, including Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain audio‑visual and video conferencing technologies in meeting rooms.
- Support virtual desktop environments including Citrix, VMware VDI, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Analyze recurring incidents and identify opportunities for service improvements.
- Design, develop, and maintain internal tools to improve operational efficiency and user support capabilities.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using Power Shell and other technologies.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on‑call and shift rotation schedules.
- Provide support outside standard business hours when required to support critical business operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Desktop Support Engineer, End User Computing Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience working in demanding, high‑availability environments where rapid response and excellent customer service are essential.
- Experience supporting executive users and business‑critical teams is highly desirable.
Strong hands‑on experience with:
- Windows 10 / Windows 11
- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Exchange
- SCCM
- Group Policy Management
Good understanding of:
- LAN/WAN connectivity
- Wi‑Fi technologies
- Structured cabling and patching
Experience supporting:
- Enterprise telephony solutions
Experience with:
- Meeting room technologies
- Microsoft Teams Rooms
- Logitech or similar collaboration hardware
Good knowledge of:
- Citrix
- VMware VDI
- AWS
- Power Shell scripting experience preferred.
- Experience developing automation solutions and operational tooling is a strong advantage.
- Good knowledge of macOS administration and support
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant Microsoft or endpoint management certifications are advantageous.
