Expert Database Administrator

Position: Expert Database Administrator Hybrid Role
Join SAP as an Expert Database Administrator focusing on SAP ASE & HANA, based in Toronto. This hybrid role emphasizes administration, optimization, and cloud technology support.
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with over 5 years of experience in database administration, primarily in SAP ASE & HANA environments. You will be responsible for driving critical operational improvements, managing database performance, and participating in pilot projects.

Your role supports high availability, incident management, and the implementation of best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and administer SAP HANA and ASE databases

• Optimize systems for peak performance and availability

• Develop and document backup and recovery strategies

• Participate in operational readiness and on-call rotations

• Engage in new technology implementation as needed
Requirements:

• More than 5 years of database administration experience

• Strong command of RDBMS structure

• Linux experience is mandatory

• Exposure to cloud technologies is beneficial

• Familiarity with automation/scripting tools preferred
