Senior Procurement Advisor Remote

A federal public sector organization is seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to provide strategic, senior-level guidance during a period of significant digital transformation.

This is an advisory engagement, not a transactional one. You'll work directly with senior leadership to build a sustainable, scalable procurement approach that balances speed, competition, and compliance within a complex federal environment.

What you'll do

• Shape a 2–3 year procurement strategy and roadmap
• Advise leadership on appropriate federal procurement vehicles and strategies
• Develop standardized SOWs, RFP components, and evaluation criteria
• Conduct market analysis and advise on vendor engagement
• Identify procurement, policy, and delivery risks and propose mitigations
• Provide ad hoc executive-level advisory support to leadership

What you bring

• Director-level experience within the last five years in a Canadian Crown Agency or public sector organization, having led an enterprise-wide procurement and contract management function overseeing a portfolio exceeding $50M CAD
• 5+ years leading oversight of IT or infrastructure contracts in a regulated environment, including governance frameworks linking financial and operational risk, standardized RFP/SOW templates, and performance dashboards (Power BI/Excel)

The details

• Contract, advisory role — no contracting authority on behalf of the Crown
• Remote — must reside in Canada
• Standard business hours, Mon–Fri; no overtime
• Occasional travel within Canada
• A federal security clearance
