Senior SAP Finance and Controlling; FI​/CO and Project Systems; PS Analyst

Our Calgary based client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) and Project Systems (PS) Analyst to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of SAP FI/CO configuration experience and 5+ years in Project Systems (PS) including experience with CO-PA, Manufacturing (made-to-order), along with strong cross-module integration knowledge (MM, CS, SD, PM, PP).

Solid business acumen in Accounting, Controlling, Project Management, Reporting, and Cost Controls is also required. This will be a fully remote work setting with expected travel once or twice a year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice and mentoring in the SAP Finance, Controlling and Projects IT functional and configuration areas.
• Provide SAP system support and guidance ensuring daily operations are running smoothly, which includes troubleshooting and resolving daily issues in support of the SAP FICO and PS modules.
• Work directly with various business areas specifically on accommodating custom engineering accounting, project cost/profitability, COPA and results analysis reporting and issues.
• Drive analysis and efforts in designing, developing and delivering changes.
• Optimize SAP FICO and Projects Systems functionality.
• Mentor and collaborate with other analysts in support of SAP systems and the business users in all client regions.
• Build strong relationships with key finance stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Follow technology standards, policies and support processes.
• Work with the business teams to ensure issues are clearly understood, alternative options are explored, and various business stakeholders understand proposed solutions advantages/disadvantages.
• Facilitate the testing of new IT solutions with the business as required to ensure well delivered solutions. This includes working with Subject Matter Experts and other groups in IT to develop and execute test scripts as part of project test phases and that align with business requirements.
