Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Platform Technology Lead
, you will oversee the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of our technology initiatives within the platform. You will play a critical part in modernizing our lending capabilities, improving customer experience and ensuring platform scalability, performance and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will require a deep understanding of platform architecture, integration, and scalability to ensure the delivery of robust and efficient platform services.
You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business objectives and drive innovation
This is a Full-time, Permanent
, role based at our Head Office in Vancouver, British Columbia
and will report directly to the Lending Technology Senior Manager
. Our head office is based in Vancouver, but we are open to candidates in BC and Ontario. While this position is for an existing vacancy and provides a remote work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands.

Executing on a strategic roadmap for platform development that aligns business goals and enhances user experienceProviding technical leadership and guidance to the platform team, ensuring best practices in architecture, design, and development.Leading a cross-functional team of engineers, testers and architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative environmentEnsuring the platform architecture is robust, scalable, and secureProviding guidance on best practices and technical standardsLeading platform-related projects, from planning and execution to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.Coordinating with stakeholders to define project technical requirements and objectivesImplementing and maintaining metrics to monitor platform performance, reliability, and user engagementWorking closely with internal teams (e.g., product, data platforms, retail) to understand needs and ensure platform solutions meet user demandsManaging relationships with external vendors and service providers to optimize platform functionality and integrationsStaying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools and processes.Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to platform usage and data securityIncorporating into the platform roadmap compliance / regulatory items and legacy systems modernizationWhat You’ll Bring to the Team:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field7+ years of experience in platform development, integration and management, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership roleAzure Full-Stack experience: CSS/HTML, React / Angular, Azure Web App Services, Java & JavaScript, Python, SQL/databases, REST APIsWorking knowledge of nCino and Sales ForceUnderstanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure), API development, microservices architectureStrong understanding of platform architecture and integration technologiesWorking knowledge of Dev Ops principles. Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and GrafanaUnderstanding of Canadian banking and/or payments ecosystem including the partner landscapeExtra Skills That Set You Apart:
